About
My name is Darline Turner-Lee and through this blog I am sharing my journey towards being a well woman. For months I have been feeling less than wel. I have consulted with physicians and considered many alternative therapies. I have come to realize that if I want to be well, it’s up to me to make the necessary choices towards that end. No one can choose what is best for me. I am going to have to continually do my research and search my soul and ultimately do what feels right for me.
You’d think that someone with a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (yes, I am a physician assistant) would have better insight into her own health than I am exhibiting. But what I have learned through all of this is that it’s one thing to “know” something intellectually. It’s an entirely different deal to experience it, to have to confront it and to have to manage it. This is my challenge; to step away from the intellectual and to do what feels best for my body.
Thank you for joining me on this journey.

Hello,
I really enjoy your blogs and I wanted to speak with you regarding a picture that you have on pap smears. I work with the California Department of Public Health and along with some student interns I am making a video for clinics who we work with. the video consist of making sure women know what to do to take care of their bodies when it comes to cancer, HPV and other things of that nature. We would like to include one of the pictures that we saw on your blog, but would like to see about getting your permision.
